Sean “Diddy” Combs’s mom, Janice Combs, denied that the disgraced rapper ever abused her.
“I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix, ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning,’ released on December 2, 2025,” she told Deadline in a statement Saturday.
“These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean’s upbringing and family life is intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation,” Janice, 85, added.
The former teacher’s assistant then said that Bad Boy co-founder Kirk Burrowes’ claims that Sean, 56, “slapped” his mom as they conversed about the nine people who were killed in the 1991 City College stampede, the “Act Bad” rapper organized, were “inaccurate and patently false.”
“That was a very sad day for all of us,” she told the outlet of the deadly crowd rush that took place in an overly packed school gym.
“For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his, Bad Boy Records is wrong, outrageous and past offensive,” Janice added.
“I am requesting that these distortions, falsehoods and misleading statements be publicly retracted.”
In the “Reckoning” documentary, which was executive produced by Sean’s nemesis, 50 Cent, Burrowes, who founded Bad Boy Entertainment with Sean in the early ’90s, claimed he witnessed the Revolt co-founder hitting Janice.
