Selling Sunset's Alanna Gold breaks silence after being slammed by famous western town for false claims she ow - Daily Mail

Selling Sunset newcomer Alanna Gold has been called out by Pioneertown for 'falsely' claiming that she owns the 'entire town' – after she referred to herself as the town's 'sheriff'.

The real estate agent, 32, made her debut on season 8 of the Netflix hit in which she bragged to her costars about owning a 'little Western town' in the High Desert in San Bernardino County, California.

However, Pioneertown has since issued a public statement in which they slammed Alanna for 'belittling' its community with her 'baseless claims' – adding that her stake in the location amounts to less than 1 per cent of its sprawling 640 acres.

DailyMail.com understands she has been reaching out directly to the people of Pioneertown to apologize for embellishing the truth and stressing that she meant no harm.

Posting their statement on the town's official Instagram page, Pioneertown said: 'The baseless claims by Selling Sunset's Alanna Gold that she "owns Pioneertown" undermines 78 years of internationally celebrated film, arts and cultural history.
