A Senate committee moved forward the nomination of Jessica Looman to serve as the US Department of Labor’s top wage regulator, teeing up the Biden administration’s second choice for the role for consideration by the full Senate.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee voted 13-9 to advance Looman. The vote comes after multiple postponements and as Congress prepares to tackle all unfinished business before the year’s end.
