During what resulted in at times a heated committee inquiry on Friday, observers watching KPMG’s desiccation by parliamentary committee heard from the whistleblower via tabled statements.

The whistleblower behind revelations of misconduct at the most senior levels at accounting behemoth KPMG has branded their former firm untrustworthy in an explosive statement tabled by a powerful parliamentary committee.

The four documents tabled to the corporation and financial services committee, which is investigating the KPMG allegations, include a statement from the whistleblower, as well as three lengthy rebuttals to the arguments put forward by the beleaguered firm against allegations of egregious behaviour by its engagement partners. This behaviour includes allegations of mishandling client documents.
