Shaan Rahman denies wrongdoing in ₹38 lakh fraud case after Kochi concert: ‘Misleading with false claims’ - Hindustan Times

Music composer Shaan Rahman, known for his work on Nivin Pauly’s Om Shanti Oshana and Dulquer Salmaan’s King of Kotha, released a statement after a fraud case was filed on him at Ernakulam South Police Station by event director Niju Raj Abraham of Arora Entertainment. According to a Manorama Online report, he and his wife, Zaira Shaan, denied all accusations and called them baseless. In his statement, Shaan reportedly accused Niju of misleading the public with false information. He claimed that all allegations against him were fabricated to manipulate and force him into settlement. He emphasised that his team faced numerous issues during the recent Kochi concert organised by Niju on January 25.

Their statement read, “We wish to address the misinformation being spread regarding the Uyire – Shaan Rahman Live in Concert, held on January 25. From the beginning, we faced many challenges in organizing this event, including a conflict with Mr. Niju Raj Abraham (Arora Entertainment). The case is currently under investigation by Ernakulam South Police Station. We have maintained transparency, cooperation, and integrity throughout the process. However, Mr Niju Raj Abraham has been misleading the media and the public with false claims.”
