The Slovak Official Gazette May 20 published Law No. 171/2023, increasing the nontaxable allowances for employee meals during qualifying business travel. The law includes measures increasing meal allowances to: 1) 7.30 euros (US$7.89) from 6.80 euros (US$7.35), for covered travel of five to 12 hours; 2) 11 euros (US$12) from 10 euros (US$11), for covered travel over 12 hours and up to 18 hours; and 3) 16 euros (US$17) from 15 euros (US$16), for covered travel over 18 hours.
