FAIRFIELD — The Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center is offering free online training in marketing, human resources, sales and social media during the month of March.
The first offering is “Intro to Online Marketing: Create your Online Strategy” from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday. Plan and explore what may be right for companies of all sizes.
“HR: Wage and Hour” will be held noon to 1:30 p.m. March 17. This is part of the Human Resources workshop series. As of Jan. 1, there are new compliance requirements. Learn about the labor law updates related to wage and hour.
“Direct Sales Made Easy: Converting Prospects to Customers” is a webinar that takes place from 10 a.m. to noon March 22. Learn the art of making a successful sales call through skills-building and planning.
“Social Media Essentials” is the topic from 9 to 11 a.m. March 31. Learn how to manage social media accounts efficiently and with the right balance of care. Discover which platform is best, what type of posts work, and get tools to help find success.
There will also be a two-part series on “How to Start an Artisan Food Business” from 3 to 5 p.m. March 21 and 28. Learn what constitutes artisan foods; the legal requirements, from permitting to licensing; how to find a kitchen or production space; what to consider with packaging, sales and delivery; food trends, branding and finding the right market; and promoting and connecting with buyers, from consumers to restaurants, markets and provisioners.
