Equinox Holdings, the owner of Equinox, SoulCycle, Blink Fitness and Pure Yoga, was slapped with an employment class action Monday in New York Southern District Court. The action, filed by Valli Kane & Vagnini, accuses Equinox of implementing a policy that allows its gym members to choose personal trainers based on gender. The action further contends that the gender policy is discriminatory towards female personal trainers and contributes to a loss of income. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00030, Faulkner et al v. Equinox Holdings Group, Inc.
