Sowore Confronts Attorney-General Fagbemi Over Detention Of Whistleblower ‘Justice Crack’, Demands Urgent Action As Minister Drags Feet, Fixes Wednesday For Meeting - Sahara Reporters

During the phone conversation, Sowore insisted that the physical absence of the Attorney General from Nigeria does not absolve him of his constitutional responsibility to act swiftly, especially in matters involving fundamental human rights.

Former presidential candidate and fiery human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has challenged the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, over the continued incarceration of a whistleblower, Justice Mark Chidiebere, widely known as “Justice Crack.”

This was during a phone conversation between Sowore and the justice minister, who is currently out of the country, amid growing concerns about the detention and reported health condition of the whistleblower.

SaharaReporters gathered that the wife of the detained whistleblower had been advised to file a bail application, even as the minister directed Sowore and two others to present themselves at the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday for further discussions.
