STAMFORD — A Stamford woman was arrested Thursday after she submitted false claims to the Connecticut Medicaid Health Insurance Program that helped her obtain $304,664.30 in payments from the program that she was not entitled to, judicial officials said.
Iselande Desyr, 59, was charged with health insurance fraud, and first-degree larceny by defrauding a public community, the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice said in a news release Tuesday.
Desyr owned Holistic Psychiatric Services, LLC between January 2021 and November 2023 and worked there as an advance practice registered nurse, DCJ officials said. During that time, they said, she billed Medicaid for services that were not provided to patients and submitted billing codes for services that were more expensive than the ones patients did recieve. The DCJ said the claims Desyr submitted to the Department of Social Services had false, deceptive, incomplete and misleading information.
Desyr was released on a $250,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Oct. 29, the DCJ said.
