The US State Department prevailed in a sex discrimination and retaliation lawsuit brought by a human resource specialist who alleged she was issued a proposed reprimand because of her complaints about her supervisor’s comments.

Stephanie Garza’s proposed letter of reprimand doesn’t qualify as an adverse employment action, because she failed to allege it affected the terms and conditions of her employment, the US District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Monday.
