A New England stonemason is still owed more than $181,000 in damages for wage violations despite his employer’s challenges to how the lower court handled certain evidence, the First Circuit said.
Sonam’s Stonewalls & Art LLC failed to show the trial judge erred by excluding allegations that the suing worker had raped his employer’s 16-year-old child, and by admitting testimony and documentation about work hours from another former employee, the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said July 15, affirming a lower court ruling.
