$SUCHIR Memecoin Promoted to Support OpenAI Whistleblower’s Family - Crypto Times
More than two months after the body of 26-year-old former OpenAI researcher Suchir Balaji was found from his San Francisco apartment, his supporters are now promoting a Solana based memecoin under his name, to seek welfare donations for his family. The creators of $SUCHIR memecoin have also donated around 4.12 million tokens to the Solana wallet address belonging to Balaji’s family that has been seeking justice for his death.
The creators of $SUCHIR memecoin have claimed to have done it in the honor of his legacy and to support his parents who are demanding an impartial investigation into his death. Fans have also shared the Solana wallet address of Suchir’s parents for citizens to donate $SUCHIR or any other cryptocurrency. Even earlier, supporters of Suchir had donated 586 $SOL worth approximately $126,000 to his parent’s Solana wallet address.
Balaji was found dead in his apartment in San Francisco on November 26 under mysterious circumstances, months after he had quit OpenAI over ethical concerns and turned into a whistleblower against their artificial intelligence (AI) models lifting copyrighted content of people. Initially, Suchir’s death was declared as a suicide but his family has alleged wrongdoings in his death, pointing fingers at his whistleblowing activities against OpenAI.
