Summer Walker’s new manager, Aubrey Banks, is facing questions about his criminal and financial history after label insiders reportedly disputed key claims about his music-industry résumé.

According to TMZ, Banks previously pleaded guilty to forgery charges, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and claimed professional experience at Interscope Records that label sources say he never had.

The concerns reportedly surfaced after Banks began managing Walker, whose records are released through Love Renaissance and Interscope. Sources close to the label told TMZ that Banks falsely claimed he worked in Interscope’s A&R department from December 2008 to January 2012.

“There were concerns raised internally regarding a number of false claims made by Aubrey Banks, including that he had previously worked at Interscope Records, which was simply untrue,” one source said.
