Sunshine Cruz warned against fake news, dismissing claims that she and her boyfriend Atong Ang have broken up and that she supposedly suffered physical abuse.
The actress took to her Facebook page on Monday, June 30, to show several fake headlines that include photos of her and the gambling tycoon.
Most of them even added false quotes attributed to Cruz, framing it as if the actress spoke up in an interview about the abuse she has been supposedly suffering at the hands of Ang.
“Sharing misinformation is not advisable especially if the news comes from a questionable site. Be vigilant family and friends,” she reminded her followers.
Cruz also shared a checklist on how to ascertain if an article is legitimate.
Cruz and Ang first drew rumors of being in a romantic relationship in 2024 after they were seen together at an event. This sighting was followed by a viral video of them kissing at a cockpit arena.
A few days later, the gambling tycoon reportedly confirmed his relationship with the actress via a Bilyonaryo News Channel report.
While Cruz has yet to publicly speak about their relationship, the actress seemingly confirmed it as she shared a cozy photo of them on her Instagram page last March.
