Susie Evans just stopped by the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast to break down the false cheating allegations against her boyfriend, former Bachelor Clayton Echard, went viral over the weekend.
In case you missed it, a woman alleged via TikTok on Saturday that she had hooked up with Clayton in New York City the night before.
Clayton and Susie quickly shut down the accusations on social media, revealing Clayton’s location and the time of their FaceTime conversations.
But now, Susie is sharing what this entire experience was like for them as a couple. She revealed that she was working a wedding as a videographer that night and her phone started blowing up with all these tags.
“Of course, at that moment, my stomach just dropped. I just couldn’t fathom Clayton of all people doing that. I just genuinely have so much trust in him as a good human being,” Susie said.
She shared that she actually had been cheated on in the past and found out via her DMs, so the experience was triggering for her.
The Bachelor Nation star told co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo that she texted her boyfriend and immediately felt better after hearing from him and realizing it was all just false rumors.
Susie said she wondered, “Who would make that up? It’s the weirdest thing to me that you would not only DM me but post a public video. The public video thing made it seem way weirder. My employee was with me and he was saying it was fake and for clout.”
