The SVD strongly denied the allegations against Villanueva, calling them an act of “bearing false witness.”
“We intend to hold accountable those who have chosen to bear false witness,” the SVD stated concerning the allegations made against Villanueva who is one of its members.
The SVD said Villanueva has already filed a case against the 18 former soldiers and their legal counsel, lawyer Levito Baligod, concerning the allegations against the priest.
The congregation stressed that there is no truth to allegations made by the former soldiers who recently appeared during a hearing at the Senate that was led by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano concerning the flood control mess.
