A whistleblower has called on the D.C. Circuit to delay implementing its ruling handing him a loss in a suit alleging a condominium group’s tax evasion.
Michael Lissack filed a motion to stay the May 26 ruling by the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit pending his petition for review to the US Supreme Court. The circuit court held that Lissack wasn’t entitled to a bounty for the information he delivered to the IRS Whistleblower Office that he believed demonstrated a condominium development group evaded taxes by mischaracterizing golf-club membership deposits.
