Tax Whistleblower Denied DC Circuit Rehearing On Award Claim - Bloomberg Tax

A whistleblower will not get a rehearing following the denial of an award for flagging a condominium development group’s tax evasion.

Michael Lissack in May petitioned the US District Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit seeking panel and en banc reconsideration of the court’s May 26 denial of a whistleblower award. Lissack sought the bounty for information he believed demonstrated the development group’s connection to tax evasion over golf-club membership deposits.

The D.C. Circuit denied his rehearing request Thursday.
