NASHVILLE, Tenn. WZTV) — Nashville's Metro Community Review Board expressed "deep concern" Monday after learning of a bombshell development in the investigation into a whistleblower complaint regarding Metro Police.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) raided the independent law firm, Butler Snow, hired by the city to conduct the investigation, according to a letter sent to Mayor Freddie O'Connell by the Metro Community Review Board.

Butler Snow was hired by the city to investigate allegations made in a 61-page complaint, penned by Garet Davidson, a former Metro Police lieutenant.
One of the accusations included Metro Nashville Police Department leadership working behind the scenes to help lawmakers shape legislation diminishing power of police oversight boards in the state. Last May, attorneys were tasked with conducting witness interviews, reviewing documents and submitting findings in an extensive report.
However, Davidson is accused of also leaking police documents related to the Covenant School shooting, which he denies. The TBI executed a search warrant on Davidson’s Robertson County home, back in September.
Now, the Community Review Board said they've learned TBI raided the Butler Snow law firm not long after.
TBI declined to comment on ongoing investigations.
