Tennessee congressman wants to protect whistleblowers of unidentified aerial phenomena - WZTV

WASHINGTON, D.C.--A Tennessee U.S. lawmaker has introduced a bill which would protect whistleblowers who "bring attention to federal funding" used to study unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).

Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) released a statement on the bill Tuesday, calling it the UAP Whistleblower Protection Act. The bill would protect members of the U.S. military, intelligence, Department of Defense Contractors, Federal civilian contractors, and others when it comes to bringing to light the government's study of UAPs.

Rep. Burchett states "We need to protect folks who want to come forward. Our government spends tens of millions of dollars on looking into UAPs, yet when someone wants to bring something forward, members of our government want to shut it down. People who want to bring the truth to light should be protected.”

Rep. Burchett is also co-chair of the bipartisan UAP Caucus in the House and he has previously introduced the UAP Transparency Act which requires the president to direct federal agencies and departments to make all documents involving UAPs public within 270 days.
