Rep. David Kustoff (R-Tenn.) will replace former Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.) on the House Ways and Means Committee.

Ways and Means ranking member Kevin Brady (R-Texas) announced the move on Wednesday, shortly after Kustoff confirmed to Bloomberg Tax that he expected to soon join the influential tax-writing panel.

A third-term member of the House, Kustoff represents a portion of western Tennessee. He joins Ways and Means from the Financial Services Committee, where he served on the Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions Subcommittee as well as the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.
