Tesla Inc. TSLA 7.51% workers in Buffalo, N.Y., have launched a campaign to form what would be the electric-vehicle maker’s first union in the U.S. More than two dozen employees sent a letter to management Tuesday stating their intent to organize and calling on Tesla to affirm that workers wouldn’t face negative repercussions for participating in the effort, among other requests.
“We really want our voice back,” said Sara Costantino, a Tesla employee and member of the organizing committee for Tesla Workers United. “I get they’re a company and they need things to get done, but we’re humans and we also need to get things done.
