'The Great Resignation': Employment Lawyers Advise How to Avoid Losing Talent During Pandemic | Daily Report - Law.com

What You Need to Know

  • Employment lawyers are now advising corporate clients on how to mitigate a growing threat of employees resigning amid the pandemic as part of the Great Resignation.
  • Undervalued associates, posted on firm websites, are being poached, according to an NYC business-to-business advisor.
  • By placing emphasis on salary, benefits, and workplace culture, employment lawyers suggest clients can retain and attract employees.

As if cultivating, implementing and adapting to COVID-19 safety protocols isn’t challenging enough, employment lawyers are now taking on the additional task of helping navigate corporate clients through a growing threat delivered in the form of an 8x11 resignation letter.

Turns out, one of the unexpected side effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the Great Resignation, a widespread trend of employees leaving their jobs after citing experiences of being overworked, underpaid, undervalued or unaccommodated.
