The popular mattress brand, Nectar, has made a name for itself as a comfy budget-friendly bed.

However, a series of lawsuits and complaints in the past few years has brought into question the authenticity and even safety of Nectar mattresses. So, let's take a look at the Nectar mattress lawsuits.

Nectar was sued for false "Made-in-USA" claims — twice.

One of Nectar's, (also known as Nectar Sleep; DreamCloud, LLC; and DreamCloud Brand LLC), main selling points was that its mattresses were made and assembled in the U.S., when they were actually found by the Federal Trade Commission, (FTC) to be entirely imported from China.

From here, the FTC reached a settlement with Nectar and banned the brand from making any claims implying that their products were made or assembled in the U.S., per the Federal Trade Commission.

In 2021, there was another false advertising lawsuit. This time it was a false claim from the DreamCloud mattress brand, which is owned by the same parent company as Nectar, Resident Home LLC. DreamCloud claimed that its mattresses were "proudly made with 100 percent USA-made premium quality materials," which was found again by the FTC to be false.

This time, instead of acting against DreamCloud alone — which is how the FTC settled with Nectar in 2018 — the FTC forbade...
