You’re dismissed: U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie dismissed the charges against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, dealing a major blow to convicted felon and President Donald Trump’s efforts to use the Justice Department to punish his perceived political enemies. Currie said the indictments against Comey and James were not valid because Lindsey Halligan, a former personal lawyer for Trump who has no prosecutorial experience, was unlawfully installed as the U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia.
