BarcelonaThe Spanish government claims 110 million euros from Uber Eats for having employed 60,000 delivery drivers as false self-employed workers, according to Inspection in El País. This body, which depends on the Ministry of Labor, initiated an investigation last summer and concluded that these workers should be salaried employees. The 110 million euros that Inspection is now requesting from the delivery company are for unpaid contributions, according to the newspaper.
