Erika Cheung, Olafson Ethics Symposium keynote speaker, helped reveal company’s plan to provide patients with false lab results
The University of North Dakota’s Nistler College of Business & Public Administration will be hosting the 2024 Olafson Ethics Symposium on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in Nistler Hall’s Barry Auditorium and via livestream.
This event is designed to engage students, alumni and local business leaders in conversations regarding ethical decision making. Keynote Speaker Erika Cheung was one of the critical whistleblowers reporting the fraud case of Theranos to regulators, preventing the company from providing false lab results to patients.
Cheung now serves as the executive director of Ethics in Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit whose mission is to foster ethical questioning, culture and systems in startups and innovation ecosystems.
The symposium is free of charge and open to the general public. Visit https://vimeo.com/event/4726866/e2352d55e4 to watch the event live.
This annual event is funded through the support of UND Alumnus Robert Olafson and his dedication to ethical business practices and UND. Additional funding support has also been provided by SEI Investments Company.
