There's no way Raila beat me in Uasin Gishu, Ruto responds to ... - The Star Kenya

• The whistleblower also claimed that Raila had defeated Ruto in Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi and Meru counties.

• The Opposition has in the last few days claimed that Raila won the August 2022 presidential election by over 8.1 million votes while Ruto got 5.9 million votes.

President William Ruto now says that there is no way ODM leader Raila Odinga defeated him in Uasin Gishu as the 'IEBC whistleblower' claims.

According to the president, Kenyans are no longer fools.

He said this while backing an opinion by political analyst and historian Charles Hornsby who dismissed the rigging claims by 'IEBC whistleblower'.

The whistleblower also claimed that Raila had defeated Ruto in Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi and Meru counties.

"Wajinga waliisha Kenya. There is simply no possibility that Raila beat Ruto in Uasin Gishu, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi and Meru. Yet that is what the so called whistleblower claims," Ruto said on Sunday night.

An analysis by Hornsby comparing the official IEBC results and those given by an anonymous whistleblower who allegedly works for the electoral Commission concludes that:

"Just as in 2017, this data set is at least partially a gross fake and no credence should be given to its reported results. No politician should use this fake to justify or rationalise any action."
