Thinkers understand FBI investigations (L.A. PARKER COLUMN) - The Trentonian

Pull that baby snug like singer Gregory Porter wore his Kangol summer spitfire cap last night at McCarter Theatre to assure no ideas slip out.

Perfect. Looks great.

Now, think about this FBI probe that apparently focuses on federal grant monies awarded the City of Trenton for a lead remediation program.

Shakira Abdul Ali, according to a Trentonian report, made her case on social media. The former Trenton health director alleged her department developed a “squeaky clean” image.

Ms. Abdul-Ali, please.

“There is not a fibre [sic] of doubt in my body that this investigation will show the entire department to be squeaky clean,” Abdul-Ali wrote on Facebook.

Abdul-Ali added the unidentified whistleblower, allegedly a former member of her lead investigation team, skewed facts and ranks as the real fraud. The ex-employee allegedly told the FBI her co-workers inflated time sheets and made bundles of money in the process.

Abdul-Ali’s post noted, “Tracking and investigating those cases and performing lead-removal is time-consuming, especially for a team of “maybe 5 people” tasked with other duties that include restaurant inspections, Abdul-Ali offered.

“Can you imagine for a moment how many bldgs [sic] are lead-infected?” she wrote. “Now imagine how many people it might take to address the problem?”

Yes, let your imagination run wild. Imagine there’s no country, nothing to kill or lie for, no religion, too, etc. Forget imagination, tell all the imaginers...
