Three Companies Settle False Claims Act PPP Loan Allegations - Bloomberg Law

Three California companies will pay $530,000 to settle allegations that they knowingly violated the False Claims Act, according to the Department of Justice Wednesday.

La Baguette LLC, in Palo Alto, will pay $430,000 to settle allegations that it retained a duplicate Paycheck Protection Program loan in 2020 and also improperly received forgiveness for the duplicate loan, said the DOJ.

Dynamic Integrated Solutions Inc., in Santa Clara, and Priority Acquisitions Inc., in Castro Valley, will each pay $50,000 in civil penalties and damages as well as repay their respective loans in full to their lender to settle allegations that they received ...
