Tiffany Haddish's lawyer denies 'Bogus' claims of child sexual abuse against comedian - Economic Times

In a recent lawsuit, American comedians Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish are charged with sexually abusing children.

According to the two unnamed plaintiffs, the comedians solicited them to participate in filthy sexual acts for a string of comedic scenes in 2013. The individuals involved were seven and fourteen years old when the alleged incidents occurred.

Andrew Brettler, who is Haddish's attorney, said that the plaintiff's mother has been making these false accusations against Ms. Haddish for several years. Every lawyer who initially took their case — and a number of them — ultimately dropped it once it was obvious that the allegations were untrue and Ms. Haddish would not be blackmailed. Currently, [the mother's] adult daughter is acting pro se in this action. The results of taking this pointless action will be something they both have to deal with.

Timeline for salary

Currently, labour laws are governed by multiple legislations. But the new law bring better and wider coverage of the workforce for social security benefits, ease of compliance, digitisation of employees' records and ease of access to information such as vacancies, etc.

Presently, the provisions of Payment of Wages Act, 1936, which governs the wage settlement timelines is applicable only to workers with wages not exceeding Rs 24,000 per month.
