The U.S. Department of Labor fined a subsidiary of Topgolf International located in Hillsboro after an investigation determined that children were working there in violation of federal labor law.
Officials with the Wage and Hour Division found that the operator of the Topgolf USA in Hillsboro allowed minor-aged workers to load trash bags into compactors. That’s a prohibited job under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the department said in a news release Tuesday.
