As of April,new changesaroundStatuatorySick Pay(SSP), parental leave, and guidance around record-keeping came into force.

Statutory Sick Pay is now payable from day one of an employee’s absence,as opposed to where it stood previously at day four. Workers also previously had to earn an average of 123 a week toqualifybut that lower earnings limit has now been removed as part of the changes, widening access to sick pay.
