U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) recently questioned an IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler on whether or not there was evidence of wrongdoing by President Joe Biden. However, Ziegler had trouble answering due to Sewell's repeated interruptions.
The exchange was detailed in recently released transcripts from the House Ways and Means Committee. Sewell began by asking if there was any evidence of any illegality on behalf of Joe Biden, demanding a "yes-or-no answer." When Zeigler obliged, responding "yes," Sewell followed up.
"Please show me the direct evidence that is not being refuted by your supervisor or by other people that actually proves that Joe Biden did something unlawful, illegal," Sewell said.
Zeigler responded, "So in exhibit [two], Hunter Biden states in his email that his original agreement..."
Before Zeigler could complete the sentence, Sewell cut him off, demanding Zeigler answer "yes or no."
What followed was a brief exchange of Zeigler unsuccessfully attempting to respond to Sewell's question due to Sewell's persistent interruptions. Even after Sewell yielded the balance of her time to the committee chair, Zeigler attempted to answer before Sewell interrupted him again.
The chair recognized another Congressman, who allowed Zeigler to present his evidence.
On Thursday, Hunter Biden snubbed Congress by declining to submit to a subpoena to appear before the congressional oversight committee and hold a press conference outside the capitol steps.
