Baseball player Trevor Bauer broke his seven-month silence on Tuesday to tell of his relief after the sexual assault case against him being dropped due insufficient evidence.
Bauer, 31, posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday where he slammed people for drawing 'premature conclusions based on an absurd amount of misinformation and false claims that have been circulated with absolutely no corroboration.'
'I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to address this,' he said. 'And I've wanted to, for some time now. And now I am finally able to speak.'
Bauer, a pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers, was accused in July of choking a woman into unconsciousness, punching her repeatedly, and forcibly having anal sex without her consent during two sexual encounters.
He strongly denied the allegations made by a woman known only as Ms. Hill.
Bauer's accuser, identified by her attorneys as 'Ms. Hill,' claimed in her filing that she consented to have sex with Bauer on two occasions, but said he went overboard by punching her, chocking her unconscious, and sodomizing her without her consent.
