A navy whistleblower has claimed staff were evacuated from HMNB Clyde following a serious radiation breach.
The whistleblower claimed that personnel working in a building at Royal Naval Armaments Depot (RNAD) on Loch Long, Argyll.
Scottish MP Neale Hanvey made the startling claim in the House of Commons today, where he quizzed Defence Secretary Ben Wallace on the situation.
The Alba MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath said: “A whistleblower has alleged that HMNB Clyde staff were recently moved from Building 201 at Coulport where warheads are managed to Building 41 elsewhere due to a serious radiation breach.
