Truck Driver Proved Freight Carrier Fired Him for Whistleblowing - Bloomberg Law

Freight carrier Greatwide Dedicated Transport II LLC must pay more than $100,000 to a trucker for firing him in retaliation for whistleblowing on violations of maximum driving time, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.

Theodore Huang presented sufficient evidence that he engaged in a protected activity that was a contributing factor to his termination, the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled in an opinion by Judge Roger L. Gregory.
