Trump amplifies another conspiracy theory: Biden was "executed" in 2020 - Baltic News Network

On Saturday evening, the 31st of May, President Donald Trump reposted unfounded information on social media platform Truth Social that former President Joe Biden had been “executed” in 2020 and replaced with clones or robots. This is the latest instance of Trump spreading false information to his millions of followers, according to NBC News.

The original post, published by an anonymous Truth Social user who often spreads false claims, suggested that Biden was replaced by “clones, doubles” and “robotised soulless entities without minds”.

Trump reposted the post to his nearly 10 million followers without any context or explanation. The original author of the post has just over 5 000 followers.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment on why Trump shared the post and whether he truly believes that Biden was executed in 2020.

Trump has frequently shared misinformation and absurd conspiracy theories over the years.

He has repeatedly made false claims that he won the 2020 presidential election, leading some of his supporters to storm the Capitol on the 6th of January 2021.

He also claimed that former President Barack Obama was not born in the United States, but later retracted his claim. And during his 2024 campaign, he claimed that Haitian immigrants “eat pets”. All of these claims have been refuted or otherwise proven false.
