President Donald Trump charged on Sunday that Iran is waging a sophisticated disinformation campaign fueled by artificial intelligence, accusing Tehran of fabricating military victories through AI-generated images and videos, Fox News reports. The goal, he suggested, is to distort global perception and exaggerate Iran’s strength amid heightened regional tensions.

In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump alleged that Iran has been circulating AI-created footage — including false depictions of “kamikaze boats” striking U.S. vessels and doctored images of damaged American aircraft — while feeding this material to what he called the “Fake News Media.”

“The fact is, Iran is being decimated, and the only battles they ‘win’ are those that they create through AI, and are distributed by Corrupt Media Outlets,” Trump said.

He dismissed reports that several U.S. refueling planes had been hit and denied claims that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier sustained damage, calling them deliberate fabrications, according to the outlet.

Trump reportedly praised Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr for launching reviews of broadcast licenses for outlets accused of amplifying false or misleading information.
