The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has dismissed as false a message circulating on social media claiming that schools are required to make financial contributions to facilitate teacher recruitment and promotion interviews.

In a clarification, the Commission said no fees are charged for any services provided to teachers, including recruitment and promotion exercises. TSC stated that recruitment and promotion are core functions of the Commission and are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner. According to the Commission, the exercises are fully funded by TSC, with County Directors provided with adequate resources to facilitate the activities.
