WASHINGTON (TNND) — Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard denied any wrongdoing after Democrats questioned why an alleged whistleblower complaint filed against her last May took almost a year to be presented to Congress.
Gabbard responded to the claims on the social media platform X after Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Mark Warner, D-Va., and other Democrats raised concerns.
Senator Mark Warner and his friends in the propaganda media have repeatedly lied to the American people that I or the ODNI ‘hid’ a whistleblower complaint in a safe for eight months. This is a blatant lie,” Gabbard wrote.
Warner claimed that Gabbard made an effort to bury the complaint.
“The law is clear: when a whistleblower makes a complaint and wants to get it before Congress, the agency has 21 days to relay it,” said Warner during a press conference. “This whistleblower complaint was issued in May. We didn’t receive it until February.”
