The US government can continue to press its case alleging AIMA Business and Medical Support LLC defrauded Medicare by billing the health-care program for genetic laboratory tests that weren’t medically necessary.
The government’s False Claims Act complaint pleaded fraud with adequate detail because it included sample Medicare claims for various patients with claim submission dates, test descriptions, and payment amounts, Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in a Wednesday order denying AIMA’s motion to dismiss.
