Andrea Clark Smith, associate chief legal officer and senior vice president of employment, labor, and physician contracting at UPMC, was recently honored with Pennsylvania Women Work‘s Diversity and Inclusion Award at the Circle of Hope awards dinner.
Clark Smith has actively promoted inclusion in the workforce, serving as an executive co-sponsor for the UPMC Employees of Color Employee Resource Group for employees of color and their allies throughout the Corporate Services Division of UPMC, and co-founding the UPMC Legal Department’s Cultivating Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Clark Smith is a leader in the community as well. She has held various leadership roles within local groups that champion inclusion and diversity, including Pittsburgh Legal Diversity and Inclusion Coalition, Literacy Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Bar Association‘s Minority and Women Lawyers Business Development Forum. Recently, she became board chair of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, an organization dedicated to equity and economic self-sufficiency for marginalized people in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Pennsylvania Women Work is a nonprofit organization that aims to help people achieve financial stability through providing women with career development opportunities and mentorship.
