United Parcel Service Inc. is free of some group wage-and-hour claims and can force one worker to arbitrate his individual allegations, a federal judge in California said.

One of the warehouse workers who accuses UPS of violating state labor laws signed an arbitration agreement with the shipping firm, and a second can’t pursue several of the ten causes of action, the US District Court for the Central District of California said, dismissing some of the claims without leave to amend.
