Claims that the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is obstructing the voting of citizens of that country abroad are completely untrue, said the head of Serbian diplomacy in the technical mandate, Marko Đurić.
"Those who repeat such lies should be ashamed," Đurić announced on Iks.
He says that Serbia's diplomatic and consular missions processed almost three times more applications in record time than in previous elections.

The ministry, he adds, has simultaneously proposed opening 90 polling stations abroad — "approximately ten more" than in 2023.
"For comparison, in the 2012 elections, only 6.014 voters were registered to vote abroad, at 38 polling stations in 22 countries. Today, we are talking about an incomparably larger number of applications processed and more than twice the number of polling stations. When drafting the proposal, not only the number of registered voters is taken into account, but also logistical, security, spatial, personnel and other objective criteria," explained Đurić.
He also pointed out that the final decision on the number and distribution of polling stations, in accordance with the law, is made by the Republic Election Commission of Serbia.
