While summer is in full swing and many are heading to the shore or on vacation, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has been burning the midnight oil. On July 1, 2025, the DOL issued a press release announcing, “the department’s bold plan,” which includes “63 deregulatory actions aimed at reversing the costly and burdensome rules imposed under previous administrations,” several of which were issued by the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD).
