US Properly Sought Honduras Hurricane Fraud Suit's Dismissal - Bloomberg Law

Federal prosecutors properly requested dismissal of a whistleblower suit alleging that a Honduran government agency falsely certified that it was qualified to receive hurricane recovery funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Eleventh Circuit affirmed.

The U.S. government wasn’t required to intervene in the whistleblowers’ False Claims Act suit before seeking dismissal of the case, James S. Moody, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, sitting by designation, wrote for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
