Dancer Vata strongly denied allegations of an “EXchange” controversy that emerged after confirming a relationship with actress Ji Ye-eun.
Aira, Vata’s agency, stated on the 15th, “We refrained from responding to baseless rumors that were not worth addressing. However, we clarify that certain reports uncritically reproduced false claims, which are entirely groundless.”
They added, “There was no 6-year relationship, and the recent dating or breakup also occurred 3 years ago. If baseless falsehoods continue to spread, we will take strong legal action at the agency level.”
Vata publicly confirmed the relationship with Ji Ye-eun on the 13th, marking the start of their open relationship. C.P. Entertainment, Ji Ye-eun’s agency, stated, “The two developed mutual feelings while working as colleagues. We kindly ask for warm support.”
Both, born in 1994, reportedly grew close through a shared religious background before becoming a couple. Vata had previously participated in choreographing the song “Milkshake” by Choongju Ji-C, a project group formed by Ji Ye-eun and broadcaster Jee Seok-jin.
However, shortly after the relationship confirmation, online communities raised suspicions about Vata’s “EXchange.” Some netizens claimed, “Vata began dating Ji Ye-eun immediately after ending a 6-year relationship.”
