No credible reports were found stating that he made such an announcement. Further, the video accompanying the claim, too, does not show him making such a statement.
A video purportedly showing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay announcing his decision to quit the INDIA bloc and join the BJP-led NDA has surfaced on social media.
People sharing the video claim that Vijay said he was inspired by the work of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and that he would exit the INDIA bloc and join the NDA.

Evidence
In the video of Chief Minister Vijay’s address to the Assembly session, which has gone viral, he cites former chief minister MK Stalin’s arrest under MISA (Maintenance of Internal Security Act).
Vijay says:
“No matter what our friends say, they say that we have seen MISA. Everyone knows the history of MISA. People are watching everything that has happened, is happening, and is going to happen.” He then quotes remarks by poet Kannadasan. It does not mention anything about the Congress, PM Modi, exiting the INDIA bloc or joining the NDA.
We also checked the full video of Chief Minister Vijay’s speech in the Assembly yesterday. Nowhere in the speech does he talk about leaving the INDIA...
